CKEditor Weekly for January 07, 2014

We're back with another edition of CKEditor Weekly. Things are slowly returning to normal after the holidays, but you wouldn't know there was a slowdown based on CKEditor 4.3.2's progress. Read on for more...

CKEditor in review

  • CKEditor’s core developer, Piotr Jasiun, will be attending Mobile Central Europe this January 11, in Warsaw. Piotr will most likely work on CKEditor for mobiles so this convention will be great place for him to deepen his knowledge of current mobile trends and share ideas on development, best practices, UX, and other mobile concerns. If you're in the area, feel free to join us!
  • Despite the holidays the team still managed to fix almost a dozen issues in the upcoming CKEditor 4.3.2. The next release will improve Widget drag handling and the Enhanced Image plugin, among other things.
  • The community also submitted some new add-ons to the repository, so check them out and let the authors know what you think!

Around the Net

  • Chip Cullen posted a tutorial on how to apply classes to elements with CKEditor 4 in Drupal 7

  • FormHandler version 1.3.7 now includes CKEditor 4.3.1. FormHandler is a module written in PHP that allows you to easily create dynamic forms.

  • Perch, a small, lightweight CMS also updated their editor plugin to CKEditor 4.3.1.

  • P'unk Avenue released another update to their module that replaces Apostrophe’s content area with CKEditor.

That's it for this week. If you would like to be featured in one of our CKEditor Weeklies, or have an interesting tidbit that relates to CKEditor, leave a comment below or contact us!
