CKEditor in review
- The team is diligently getting CKEditor 4.3 ready for its imminent release. Over a dozen issues have been closed since last week. You can see the full list here.
- The MathJax widget is finally ready and will be included in CKEditor 4.3! You can follow everything that has been done for it in the MathJax umbrella ticket. If you want to see it in action, download CKEditor 4.3 beta and check out the samples.
- After CKEditor 4.3 is released the team will give CKEditor Mobile their undivided attention. This will be a huge undertaking since mobiles present various UX challenges, but a few promising ideas have already been tossed around. The new CKEditor Mobile should be out in the summer of 2014.
- The new Images widget will be turned off by default in CKEditor 4.3. It will be enabled by default in version 4.4.

Jesse Dobbelaere released a plugin that lets you easily use Icon Fonts in CKEditor. Icon Fonts are vector-based objects that can be modified without losing quality. You can see them in action here.

Vaadin 7.8.7 now supports CKEditor 4.2.2. Vaadin Framework is a Java web application development framework designed to simplify the creation and maintenance of high quality web-based user interfaces.

Tse-Ching Ho released an update for his gem that integrates CKEditor with the Rails asset pipeline. It works in Ruby 1.9.3+ and Rails 3.0+.
