CKEditor 4.3.2 Released
We would like to announce the release of CKEditor 4.3.2. This is a minor bug-fixing release that follows our last major release, CKEditor 4.3, that introduced the innovative Widget System. CKEditor 4.3.2 includes further enhancements for widgets as well as numerous fixes for different editor plugins.
Widget Enhancements
CKEditor 4.3.2 comprises a few fixes for some widget drag handler issues. Additionally, we added a new widgets.repository.addUpcastCallback
method that allows to block upcasting given element to a widget. Last but not least, widgets are now integrated with the Show Blocks plugin, so the block outline is no longer displayed for widget wrappers.
While this release includes further widget enhancements, the development team feels that this feature has already become really mature. We have seen some very interesting widget ideas floating around in the community and we are looking forward to seeing some third-party widget plugins being added to the official Add-ons Repository. If you created your own CKEditor widget, do not hesitate to add it there!
Other Fixes
Since accessibility remains a priority for us, the lastest CKEditor version includes further enhancements in this area. The keyboard shortcuts that are used in the Accessibility Instructions dialog window are now translatable and can be adjusted in each editor localization. Among other changes introduced in CKEditor 4.3.2 you will see fixes for numerous plugins such as Autogrow, Source Dialog, Div Editing Area, Page Break, Clipboard, or Preview.
