CKBox Version 2.10.0 & 2.11.0: Semantic Search, Expanded Search Actions, and more

CKBox 2.11.0 introduces semantic search and, together with 2.10.0, expands asset management capabilities directly within search results. Furthermore, 2.10.0 improves workspace management, especially for multi-tenant applications with a large number of workspaces.

  • CKBox version 2.11.0 was released on February 23, 2026.

  • CKBox version 2.10.0 was released on February 3, 2026.

Building on existing AI-powered features, the releases focus on making asset discovery and management faster and more intuitive.

CKBox 2.11.0 introduces semantic search. This extends the existing AI-powered metadata capabilities, makes asset discovery more flexible, and reduces the need for exact keyword matching. Unlike the standard keyword-based search, which matches file names, tags, and descriptions, semantic search understands the meaning and intent behind a query and allows users to describe what they are looking for using natural language. For example, searching for “a sunset over the ocean” can return relevant images even when those terms are not explicitly present in filenames or tags.

When CKBox AI Features are enabled, CKBox analyzes image assets at upload and builds an internal representation of their visual content. Semantic search compares the meaning of a user’s natural-language query against these representations, even if the exact words do not appear in the metadata.

AI-powered features are available in the Professional and Custom plans. You can also try it out with a 14-day free trial or contact us to learn more.

We are already gathering feedback to further improve semantic search and AI-powered discovery. Take the survey to share your experience and suggestions.

Starting with 2.11.0, asset operations are now available directly from the search results view. With this update, users can delete, copy, and move assets directly from search results without navigating back to categories.

Additionally, with 2.10.0, metadata editing (name, tags, or description) can now be performed directly from the search results view as well.

Both these updates remove the need to switch back to the  category view for asset operations and asset property edits, improving efficiency when working with large result sets.

Workspace management and performance

The Workspaces UI has received both performance optimizations and workspace management improvements:

  • The Superadmin workspaces view now use a paginated table, listing all workspaces in the environment.

  • Users can search for workspaces by both name and exact ID.

  • The workspace switcher dropdown now also supports searching via name and exact ID. It also groups and presents recently used workspaces for faster access.

These updates improve scalability and navigation in environments with multiple workspaces.

Bug fixes

An issue where the AI manual trigger banner was incorrectly displayed for non-image assets has been fixed in 2.10.1. It is now shown only when viewing image assets.
