In troubleshooting the problem I jsut posted (problems with ~) I found that I couldn't get the debug tool to work.
As far as I can see, you just set the FCKConfig.Debug to true, in fckconfig.js
But where can you use the suggested code - FCKDebug.Output('message')?
I assume this is javascript, and have put it in the config, within script tags on the page that initiates my fck textarea, and in various js and php files in FCKEditor.
The dcoumentation on this is just not adrequate enough for me to figure out what I'm doing wrong - it just says "in your code, you just use the FCKDebug object" - what code?

RE: using debug
You use it in the same context that you use other API calls of the editor, if you don't have a direct reference in your context (you're trying to use it outside the scope of the editor) then you'll need to add a reference to the FCKDebug object just like you add other reference to other internal objects.
The use of the debug object is useful while working in the internal code of the editor or in a plugin, but if you are trying to debug code in your page you might find any other system that fits your needs better as you don't have the same restrictions that are in place while working inside the editor.
