I'm having trouble with image uploads.
Everything else I've tried (with FCKeditor) works, including editing of existing html on the server.
But image uploads die quickly, without any error.
I have apache2/php5 on a 64 bit kubuntu machine.
$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] = '/var/www/';
I use Firefox 2.0.0.6 for the browser.
fckeditor/fckconfig.js
var _FileBrowserLanguage = 'php' ;
var _QuickUploadLanguage = 'php' ;
`find . -name config.php`
./editor/filemanager/upload/php/config.php
./editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/config.php
both config.php files have
$Config['Enabled'] = true;
$Config['UseFileType'] = false ;
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = '/userfiles/' ;
$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = '/var/www/userfiles/' ;
mkdir -p /var/www/userfiles/Image /var/www/userfiles/File
chmod -R 777 /var/www/userfiles
Clicking the image icon pops up a dialog.
The Upload tab pops a file browser in my user home directory.
I choose a small image: test.jpg
I click "Send it to the server' and nothing happens.
If I edit the link tab, the editor shows an image link, but there is
no image on the server to point to.

Re: upload faq
My original trouble happened on localhost.
In other words I was logged in (not as root) on the server.
That server (kubuntu linux on a 64 bit Dell)
has php5 and apache2. Firefox2.0.0.6 was the browser.
I drove home from work and logged into a 32 bit ubuntu,
using Firefox2.0.0.5
Uploads work flawlessly from far (from Firefox on 32 bit linux box)
Uploads directly on the server (from Firefox compiled for 64 bit linux)
fails. So perhaps this is a client browser problem.
Any insights would be welcome.
