This should work:

$Config['UserFilesPath'] = '/afolder/userfiles/' ;
$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = '/home/your_login/public_html/mydomain.com/afolder/userfiles/';

of course i don't know what's your absolute path to that directory, but I hope you know what I meant.
