thumbnail images resources browser

I was wondering if i can make the resources browser show thumb previews of the images instead of just the filenames+extensions?

I have seen this is possible when i used the FCKeditor integrated in MODx and we would very much like to enable this for our own cms. Is this a standard FCKeditor feature i can enable or has the code been changed to support this kind of previewing? If it is possible to enable, how can i do so?

Unfortunately currently FCKeditor does not support thumb previews in the resources browser.
You may tak a look at CKfinder http://www.fckeditor.net/extras/ckfinder which has such a feature.
However it is surely possible to make similar feature for FCKeditor, you can check some existing plugins to get an idea of how to do it:
