I have content that contains a bunch of jump links (links that jump to a place further down the page). When I edit this page in fckeditor, a bunch of superfluous tags are put in the content, most of them surrounding text, which causes the text to turn red when you rollover it with your mouse in a browser. This is really irritating. What gives?

RE: tags spontaneously created!
the tag must be closed, so if you have put just without a closing then the browser will put one wherever it thinks it might be needed.
Yes, it validates
My subtitle here
but I believe fckeditor does not like the tag with nothing inside it...so it not only changes THAT part of the text to
My subtitle here
But it also puts tags around all the other content it finds, until it gets to the next tag I've put in the content. So when I enter:
My subtitle here
Content and so on...
Next subtitle here
So it ends up looking something like this:
My subtitle here

Content and so on...

Next subtitle here

...etc.
RE: Yes, it validates
My subtitle here
Content and so on...
Next subtitle here
in the standard demo of 2.2 and switching back and forth from source mode to design and I don't see any problem.
Can you specify a step by step procedure to see the problem?
Could it be something that you have changed or some plugin that it is messing around things?
