Hi,
This is NOT re: the P vs BR on enter issue.
I have several instances of the editor used to enter various things into dynamic tables, such as a calendar. For example, an event title and event description are two separate instances.
However, anything I put in the editor, after it is saved, ends up with <p> tags around it. I can go in, edit them out, and re-save and they come back. This really throws off the formatting of the calendar table.
How can I turn this off so that editor isn't adding in p tags that I haven't told it to?

Can you show some example of the initial html that you are providing or trying to create?
RE: <p> tags around all content, how to disab
when i have formatted text ex. i type "this is a test" into the editor and bold the word "this".
When i save to the database and then pull it back into the editor the editor displays <strong>This </strong>is a test.
It wraps the word with the tag.
RE: <p> tags around all content, how to disab
what i am not able to understand is how to remove a format once applied to text, using toolbar.
RE: <p> tags around all content, how to disab
I'm not sure what version we're using because we have a tech company install and maintain it for us, but it certainly did the trick.
Good luck.
Temporary Solution
I use fckeditor in our just-one-cms.de and sometimes the editor is used to input just an image.
Then there should not be any p's or div's around the image or whatever.
Here is my solution:
In fckeditorcode_gecko.js and fckeditorcode_ie.js
## SEARCH:
FixBody:function(){var .........more code here............};
## REPLACE BY:
FixBody:function(){ return; var .........more code here..........};
Maybe frederico can confirm this solution or add a FCKConfig item in a next release....
