If you present "This is a <test" as content to FCK it will think test is a tag and will stop displaying text after <
But encoding it as < was done to prevent this.
If you take "This is a < test" it works fine.
You someone reproduce this? I think its a bug.

Notice the space between < AND test?
If there is not a space that FCK will display it as the beginning of a tag.
Can you see the difference?
