span inside p

Hi,
I try to insert in CKEditor 3.0 this code

<span class="menuNav2ItemOut"><p align="center">My text</p></span>

but editor changes it with

<p align="center"><span class="menuNav2ItemOut">My text</span></p>

Someone tell me why? Is it possible to avoid this behaviour?
