Hi everybody,
I've just installed FCKeditor on my website and I followed the instructions for everything, but i've got several problems :
1- in Mozilla, when i switch from wysiwyg to source mode, the beginning and the end of my text is cut off (which doesn't happen in IE)
2- still in Mozilla, i feel like i'm still on my old 386 as the text is very slow to show (doesn't happen in IE neither)
3- once again in Mozilla, when i use the buttons that are supposed to display a dialog's window i get it but with the text "undefined" and a button "cancel" to close it and that's all (doesn't happen in IE)
4- in IE this time , i've changed the configuration so that the default colour is not black but grey (whatever) and when I switch the source button twice (so back to wysiwyg) the text is black again ... (doesn't happen in Mozilla)
5- don't worry this is the last one , in IE (as i couldn't test it in mozilla cf above) in the file manager I've tried to limit the kind of files to images (".jpg .jpeg .gif .png") but it doesn't change anything and i can still upload any file i want
So please if anyone of u got a solution for at least one of my problems i'd be grateful to u !!! i'm getting crazy trying to solve them and i don't think i'm gonna be able to stand it anymore unless i throw my computer away !
Thanks a lot for the good job anyway !

RE: several problems
Please be more specific about what you are calling "Mozilla" ... ie. is it Mozilla, Firefox, Camino, Netscape, and which version? On PC, Mac or Linux?
If using Firefox, try completely clearing the cache. It doesn't seem to pick up changes to JS files very well.
Also which version of IE ?
Does the online demo give you the same problems?

RE: several problems
sorry about that, here's the exact version i use : Mozilla 1.3.1
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr; rv:1.3.1) Gecko/20030425
I've tried clearing the cache but it doesn't do anything, and i'm using the last version of IE (6 or whatsoever)...
I'm under Win2kpro and i use easyphp as a server
If you need anything else please tell me, thanks a lot !
RE: several problems
Mozilla 1.3 is a very old - I don't think it really started stabilising until 1.6 ... I would suggest you download either Firefox 1.0 or Mozilla 1.7
Also, please try the online demo and let us know if that works.
RE: several problems
Right thanks a lot Ben, I've solved mozilla's problems 1 and 3. The second one is pretty annoying but doesn't matter too much so i don't really mind ... but i still got the 4th and particularly the 5th that i need to get fixed, so the discussions is still open for you guys
thanks a lot once again
