Hello,
I have recently started using FCKeditor in TikiWiki 2.1.
I have the following problem with the editor:
When trying to add an image to a Wiki page, I ...
- click on the 'Insert an image' icon at the top of the editor
- the 'Tiki image - Insert an image' dialogue box appears as expected
- however, when I click on the Browse Server button, a new window opens, and immediately the following error message appears:
The server didn't send back a proper XML response. Please contact your system administrator.
XML request error: Internal Server Error (500)
Requested URL:
http://www.petesweb.org/tw/lib/fckedito ... 4468686921 (external link)
Response text:
<!-- SHTML Wrapper - 500 Server Error -->
This happens on both Macs and Windows, and with various browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
Having searched this forum, I notice that a number of other people have the same problem. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.
Re: The server didn't send back a proper XML response. ????
Except my error is: XML Request Error: OK (200)
Using FCKEditor 2.6.3 and CKFinder 1.2.3
and with Drupal FCKeditor module.

Hello,
Yes, I have a solution. It turns out that the permissions on my files and directories were incorrect. You can read about the solution here:
http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thr ... &forumId=4
Because this relates to my installation of TikiWiki and not specifically to a problem with the FCKeditor I'm not sure how useful this information will be to you. However, it is obviously worth checking the permissions on all files and directories related to the editor. For me, directories are 755 and files are 644.
