plz help how to install

i like fckeditor and i don't know hot to install it on my wiki,
mediawiki 1.12 and fckeditor 2.6.1
can anyone help me but plz step by step because i'm new to all of this/

Are you following these 3 fundementals:

1. Install mediawiki extension for FCKEditor - get this from mediawiki site
2. Install FSKEditor - get this here. Instals within directory structure of the mediawiki
3. Update LocalSettings.php with the location details of the FSKEditor

I think there is a common misunderstanding of the need for the mediawiki extension first (which does not include the editor package) as a seperate stage from the editor install itself.
