php version doesn't display

I downloaded and install the editor on a local mac osx/apache setup running php 5.2.4 and everything works great.
I uploaded to my web host running a linux/apache setup with php 5.0.4 and the editor doesn't display.
Same file folder structure, neither my integrated version nor the supplied samples.

Are there php.ini settings or something I should be asking to have changed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to be a pest but I am trying to get this resolved for a current project. I really want to get the php version of the editor working, like I said it works great on my local test server but on my linux host it doesn't display. Could it be an ini setting? or perhaps the strict case of directory and file names? Any support on getting this installed would be greatly appreciated.
