overide events

Hello i have a question about evnts inside the editor. I have made a plugin form which people can insert custom tags. If the tag is selected and the delete 'key' is pressed then an message box is shown. (ok/cancel). I have captured the keyevent, but the action is exectuted however i slected the 'cancel button'. (any ideas?)

blocking keys depends on the event that you catch (it isn't the same to use keydown, keypress or keyup), I don't remember which is the best one for that job, but the editor has code to catch some keys like Ctrl+V or Enter so I would take a look there to see how it is done.
