<span> or <div> INSTEAD OF <p>

Hey ! I've been searching all day long an noone had the right Answer.
I use FCK in Joomla. I'ts the newest Version I downloaded it some days ago (22.06.09).

Following is the problem:


When i type some text, and i add a STYLE from my stylesheet given in the "styles"-Pulldown, the FCK wrapps a paragrah ( <p class="MYCHOSENCLASS">HERE GOES MY TEXT</p> ) around my text.
INSTEAD OF THIS, I want it to add other tags like " <div> " or " < span > " or whatever, BUT NOT <p>.


For those who read too fast: I am NOT searching for the "FCKConfig.EnterMode = 'p' or 'br' or 'div'" or whatever. I know how to deal with line breaks, but but that is not what I'm searching for.
