hi. i'm probably being really stupid but i'm at my wits end with trying to get the resources browser working properly. when i click the browse server button from the insert link or image popups, the resource browser is presenting me with an empty root (/) directory. i can't navigate to any other folders using the drop down at the top (doesn't drop down), & can neither create a folder or upload a file, tho i am given no error messages when trying either of these - they seem to process fine, but i'm still left with the empty directory.
i've googled till i can google no more & believe i have sorted the basics - setting _FileBrowserLanguage & _QuickUploadLanguage (php) in config.js & setting all such lines as FCKConfig.LinkBrowser / FCKConfig.ImageBrowser etc. to true, and setting $Config['Enabled'] = true ; in config.php.
my guess is that i'm not configuring UserFilesPath & UserFilesAbsolutePath correctly in config.php. fckeditor resides at /public_html/_admin/FCKeditor/ & i'd like the resource browser to start looking in /public_html/[target folder]. any help on how i achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Re: nightmares with resources browser
thanks!
Re: nightmares with resources browser
Download the latest FCKeditor release.
Install Firefox with Firebug to see if there are any javascript errors while loading the page.
Check permissions to your userfiles directory (set it to 777 for example).
Set UserFilesAbsolutePath to absolute path to your userfiles directory (perhaps /home/login/public_html/[target folder]) and UserFilesPath to path relative to your document root (perhaps /[target folder]).
If you cannot see any files in file browser, although you have succesfully uploaded some files using FCKeditor (if it didn't return any error), check via FTP whether those files exists somewhere on your server.
