newbie please help with installation

hello good pple of the forum, i am totally new to using fckeditor, i 've downloaded it but still can't don't know how to embedd it with my web application.
OK, i use php and currently creating a little cms with fckeditor as the text editor, i know there is a php file in the install folder, but when i uploaded the folder and view the php file absolutely nothing was showing up.
Pls all i need is a step by step installation of this wonderful package.
