manage files outside of FCK-Folder

how can i manage files that are stored outside of the FCK-Folder?
I can see the text and tables in the html files but the images won't show up in FCK.

I can only see images in html files if the html file itself and the images in it are stored in FCKeditor/editor.
It doesn't work with html files containing images stored in my root dir or other dirs.

PLEASE HELP!!
