I've been experimenting with the editor and enabled the file uploading. When I did that I noticed in config.asp that there are sections for each of the four file types - File, Image, Flash and Media which include the extensions that are allowed and denied. eg: For Images;
ConfigAllowedExtensions.Add "Image", "jpg|gif|jpeg|png|bmp"
ConfigDeniedExtensions.Add "Image", ""
I wanted to add a new File Type (CAD files) but it didn't seem to work. The file browser continues to be restricted to just the four default ones. I had a look to see whether I needed to change the values anywhere else and I found one more place frmresourcetype.html under filemanager\browser\default, but changing that didn't seem to affect anything either.
Any ideas whether it's possible to add custom file types and which files need to be changed?

RE: Is it possible to add new File Types?
this based on "flash" examples and objects. I have 30 files to change (without lang files).
Tell me good luck!
RE: Is it possible to add new File Types?
I'd just like to add a "media" button, with a dialog box that allows to upload mp3, and send back the flash player I chosed ("dewplayer", nice one).
It's the only button missing on this excellent FCKeditor !
RE: Is it possible to add new File Types?
I'd just like to add a new file type for PowerPoint files, which could be linked to for download.
Also, with ASP.net, how can you change the allowed/denied extensions (since there is no config file in connectors\aspx\ )
Re: RE: Is it possible to add new File Types?
Have you been successful with this?
