I want to know how to disable some options like Flash button etc. so that users cannot access such option. I am using FCKeditor-2.3 for JSP. thanks in advance
To my mind you must configure it in /FCKeditor/fckconfig.js There are such option as FCKConfig.ToolbarSets[]. You can define your own or modify default. Then when you define editor in your page say that you will be using that toolbar set.
Thanks booq it worked . But one more question how can we access editors value in javascript ? bcoz how can we apply client side script to check is editor empty or not ? thanks
code looks like function GetContents() { // Get the editor instance that we want to interact with. var oEditor = FCKeditorAPI.GetInstance('FCKeditor1') ;
// Get the editor contents in XHTML. alert( oEditor.GetXHTML( true ) ) ; // "true" means you want it formatted. }
RE: how to disable some options
Theoretically it must work.
