Hi,
I'm currently a tinymce user, but I think I might have to switch due a limitation I found with that particular editor. One of the things that I was working on in tinymce was creating a custom dropdown that would insert arbitrary text into my document at the position of the carat.
The contents of the dropdown would be well defined, and static. For example if you selected the drop down, and selected an item like "greeting" it would add the word "hi" into your document. FCKeditor has all sorts of fun things inside of it, so I figure this is possible, I just don't have a good starting point.
If anyone can point me at some code or a file that helps frame the work involved I would really appreciate it.
thanks,
Kevin
