data not loading in editor

hi. we've recently run into a problem when a user pastes content into the editor from word.
the data is then written to mysql. when loading that same content into the editor from the db, the content doesn't display, only div tags.

it doesn't amatter if they use they paste from word or plain text functions. this doesn't happen with all word docs. i've gone through this document but can't find what may be causing the problem.
