configuration options won't update

I am having a problem using FCK editor as whenever I change a setting in fckconfig.js, or in one of my css files (fck_editorarea.css for example) my editor won't display the changes. Sometimes it takes 48 hours or more before changes that I have made (such as getting rid of a particular toolbar) to show up.

I have tried a hard (F5) refresh, tried deleting my browsing history and cache etc. Nothing seems to work. What am I doing wrong?

The changes do happen but they take days!! its kind of impossible to work like that...

I am using PHP / MySQL / and testing in both IE and Firefox.

I have had the same problem across different webhosts and domains.

thanks for any help... I'm tearing my hair out.
