Hi,
I've recently been working on something called TiddlyDocs (http://www.tiddlydocs.com) which makes use of FCKEditor alongside a number of other open source projects. Most notably TiddlyWiki and jQuery.
Some more info can be found here : http://www.vimeo.com/3718346
FCKEditor is working really nicely. Thanks for everyones work on it.
I recently noticed the
FCKConfig.ToolbarLocation = 'Out:fixedBar' ;
option in fckconfig.php.
Its a really nice feature that I would very much like to make use of.
The problem I have is as follows :
I can have multiple textareas open without any issues. I can control each text area from the fixed editor bar at the top.
The problem comes when I am done editing. TiddlyWiki has a "Save Section" button which when clicked hides the textarea and saves the changes to a server.
As soon as I click this "Save Section" button FCKEditor stops behaving correctly.
This is with everything is working correctly : http://skitch.com/simonmcmanus/bjwhf/ti ... nd-conquer
And after I have saved a section I see the following :
http://skitch.com/simonmcmanus/bjwhq/ti ... l-of-tears
And cannot use my FCKEditor WYSIWYG controls.
In firebug I see the following error :
FCK is not defined
[Break on this error] var FCKToolbarButton=function(A,B,C,D,E,...ble=function(){this._UIButton.ChangeSt};
TiddlyWiki is written in Javascript, so I suspect I just need to call a FCKEditor function to disable the old editors before creating a new one.
Does this make sense?
Any idea what function I should be using?
Any suggestions/comments would be gratefully received.
Thanks in Advance
Simon
