choose between span- and font-tag ?

Hi there!

Is there a possibility to choose between span- and font-tags?
The 2.0-Version wrote span-tags. After updating to 2.1 it only writes font-tags (?) .

Little addendum.

I wanted to have the span-tags because of the style definition. The font-tag is so old fashioned I think and it corrupts my design because css is not applied.
