Pasting images into a rich text section in Internet Explorer 8 using Windows 7 Snippit, SnagIt (COTS tool), and copy/pasting from Word does not work. I am not able to test IE 9 (or 10?) but if it plays nicer in a newer version of IE that would be good feedback. Note that these actions work in Firefox.
What happens in IE is that you don't even get the option to paste. The paste icon is not available.
If you copy a section of a Word document that contains both text and images, you are able to paste.. however, the image shows up as a broken icon instead of the actual image.
If there's a better place to make an enhancement request let me know.
Thanks!

This is not a CKEditor issue, this is how various browsers work. You can Google some more details on the behaviour of particular versions, but pasting a local image into a website is not a recommended thing to do.
