can I type Math Symbols using CKEditor ?

Hi Support team,
Pls clarify me whether is it possible to type Math Special Symbols/Characters required for Math formulae, using CKEditor ?

Example of Math symbols are:
1) sigma symbol for summation
2) Integration symbol
3) Matrix representation

If it is not currently available, whether the same can be expected sometime later in CKEditor?

I think so, if the chosen font can display them.

Hi,
Could someone expand on the reply from Dennis ?
I have not changed or added any fonts to the defaults that came with the install of CKEditor, and none of these fonts yield math symbols (well, not that I can find ....)

Try my plugin for Mathematics http://www.fmath.info/plugins/CKEditor/.
I have Integrals, Sum, Matrix and more than 16000 symbols.

Let me know yif you have problems

Hi Alex - I have integrated your equation editor, but I dont understand how to get it insert the image. In your documentation, you refer to:

"Change the file configMathMLEditor.xml the property urlGenerateImage with your server name"

But there is no such property in the configMathMLEditor.xml.

Im assuming I need to install some server functionality, but I dont know what it is.
