I have used your CKEditor.
I'm not remember the old version number of CKEditor but the porduct has provided the fuction of pasting Object like,,,table's properties. If i copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEditor, it was copied not only table but also properies like header color, line properties,,,etc..
but your new version ,,I guess (I checked your demo site) does not suppert copying "perperies" any more. what's the problem? am I useing wrong?
or you guys have bug or somethig?

Re: [bug]Copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEdit
Have you tried setting the config.pasteFromWordRemoveFontStyles and config.pasteFromWordRemoveStyles configuration values?

Re: [bug]Copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEdit
config.pasteFromWordRemoveStyles = false;
config.pasteFromWordRemoveFontStyles = false;
but i still missed Color from Word or Excel.
so do I have to get it license or something?
Re: [bug]Copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEdit
Perhaps you haven't reloaded cache in browser.
Another thing might be that you are using some old version of CKEditor and not latest stable (3.6.1). Have you tried our newest CKEditor version?
Re: [bug]Copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEdit
I'm using : CKEditor 3.6.2, Word and Excel 2010.
I put the configuration values as you told us and it doesn't work when I paste from Excel. The colors and background colors are not kept.
But it works when I paste from Word. (Example : i copy my table from Excel to Word, i copy from Word, I paste in CKEditor, it works !)
Moreover, in Firefox, the pasting result from Excel is an image and not an html table. From Word, it works !
So, what is the difference between Excel and Word ? Is there specifically something different in source code ? Is there any patch which is correcting this behaviour ?
Thanks by advance for your answer.

Re: [bug]Copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEdit
I'm a bit surprised there is no answer to our question from a member of the ckeditor team.
For my webapp, i'm going to buy the ckeditor so i need some answer to this essential question.
But, I will want to ask if there is a developer who can code for me a plugin to paste Excel to ckeditor without losing the formatting. (it's working if you copy first in word and after to ckeditor).
I can pay for that. Let me know if someone can with a private message.
Thanks by advance
Re: [bug]Copy from MS-Office(word,excel) and paste to CKEdit
I just check another time, and I use the 3.6.2 version of CKEditor.
(I check in the file ckeditor.asp :
Private Sub Class_Initialize()
version = "3.6.2"
...
)
So, it seems not to be a version problem. But why ? Do you tell me ot's working in your environment ?
I am using ckeditor 4.4.4 and
I am using ckeditor 4.4.4 and not getting word formatting by copy pasting the content from word. I am even using the button "Paste from word" but it is not helping. I can see the formatting in the "Paste from word" window but when i click "Ok" the formatting goes away inside the editor.
My config.js file has "config.pasteFromWordRemoveFontStyles = false;" and "config.pasteFromWordRemoveStyles = false;" in it but still not helping.
Even I see the editor used in this forum is also not supporting this functionality (I see no italics or background color) but font color works fine. Is it because of any word doc version. I am also attaching a screen print that shows good formatting in the paste from word box but not in editor itself. Please let me know any solution.. Thank you

hi hello
I was doing some research on this , and retrieved the clipboard data to understand when we copy paste what we get in clipboard of the operating system.
When you paste from Microsoft word with extension . docx you will get ML as mentioned btelow ( i.e., its html but not all the styles are one to one proportional to html , which requires some converion .

When we paste from Microsoft Excel we get RTF data again that has to be converted to HTML using either editorPanel of swing or by some other mechanism.Below is the sample excel data.
Its fun I have to support the copy paste with formatting from microsoft suite of products ( word , excel , ppt , outlook , visio ) and also PDF and snify tool ....did lot of testing and obeservation on the input i get now trying to figure out how to convert to html , its technically funny and interesting implementation
