Hi, I am new to FCK, and I have the need to add some custom special characters to the popup box. Is this possible? If so, how would I go about doing it?
When I dug deeper I realized that I needed to use \\\' instead of ' because of the way the page was getting built.
now I have a different problem.
When I use the same code as above, a green bullet appears in the special characters popup. Note, green, though the code says 'red'. I am noticing that the colors don't always render the way they should in the popup, but they render correctly when inserted.
OK, figured that one out too. Apparantly the / in front of each ' was causing the problem. So I threw validation to the wind and got rid of the quotes altogether and now its working.
Re: add custom Special Characters
The other way is editing the fckeditor/editor/dialog/fck_specialchar.html file.
Just add the needed chars to the aChars array.
Re: add custom Special Characters
When I added that exact line to the array, it started an error on opening the special characters window.
Line: 95
Char: 26
Error: Expected ')'
Code: 0
The end of the array looks like this:
