What happens with the focus?

When the editor is being loaded on the page what happens with the keyboard focus?

I have two frames, one for a list of pages to select on of them for editing.
Second frame for editor.

When the editor loads in second frame then first frame loses keyboard focus.

Can anybody explain this behavior?
