Weird Problem with CKEditor using Joomla 1.6

Joomla 1.6.0
CKEditor: com_ckeditor_1.6-rc2
PHP: 5.2.14
MySQL: 5.0.77

This is a fresh install of Joomla and the CKEditor.

Both installs went fine.. no error messages... completed successfully. After I installed CKEditor, I tried to create an article and the page looked like it had no access to any CSS. (see attached graphic)

If I change the editor back to none or Tiny... the page populates fine... so it has to be something with the CKEditor.

Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem. I'm working in Joomla 1.6 and I installed CKEditor without any problems. if I go into an artical for example the editor is not there. if I go back to Tiny or any others editors it works fine.

Hi, I will try reproduce your issue (never see something like that).
Please try our latest extension version from http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/edition/editors/12821.
Please give me an info if the problem still exists.

Hi, having same/similar problem but think it's a Joomla! problem; i.e. I've tried the Joomla! editors - Tiny and mirror - and tried loading others including CKE. Only Tiny shows any signs of life but then with a very limited range of tools, I understant from 'Dummies Guide to' there should be more options on Tiny than I have ever been able to make show. So, yes me too, but I think it's Joomla!

Hi,
maybe you should check firebug (which css and js files are loaded and which are missing.) Maybe there are some javascript errors ? Try remove any other extensions. Try use extension on other (local) installation of Joomla and check if the error repeats. Every information which help us find this bug will be useful.

can you look at firebug in firefox buy cialis online if all css and js files are loaded correctly ?
Which browser do you use ?
