FCK is not a CMS which is what you are looking for. FCK is a rich text editor which is meant to be integrated in to a CMS. It's for programmers, to use as part of more complete CMS projects. There is no instruction because it's not intended for non-programmers.
I don't know how important the site is that you're wanting to edit on but just following some simple article like that one is dangerous because you open your site and server up to anyone with a little knowledge of FCK's setup. There is no security, no login required etc. Here's a better idea: Why not hire some starving programmer? Someone to help you setup a CMS; you could try guru.com or any of the others out there <google is your friend>. Regarding the forums I think that when people have an easy answer to a problem and they can see that its a legitimate intelligent query they are more then happy to help. But when misguided folks find their way here with problems that are not so easily explained (ex. you need to be a programmer to understand the answer, let alone to ask the right question), they go will unanswered.
Sure anyone can be taught the ins and outs of setting up an open source CMS but it takes years of knowledge to truly understand. It's not something that is simple to do on a forum like this. There are places online that are more then happy to assist someone learning to program or to help newbies setup an exiting CMS. Most still expect a certain level of programming experience and that can only be found by going to school, signing up for some online courses or just buying some books on Amazon. If you have the time to invest, do that, otherwise hiring someone to do your plumbing is the best solution.
