I have tried searching this issue on the forum and I cannot find a solution. Here is what is happening:
I am using the PHP implementation of FCKeditor and version 2.6.4. When I try to upload a file from the editor, the file does not appear at all in the intended location on the server. I am pretty sure that the file is not even getting uploaded (anywhere on the server) even though the message I get after clicking "Upload" indicates that the file is being uploaded. The strange thing is that this only seems to happen when the file is new (i.e. doesn't already exist on the server) . If the file already exists on the server (in the upload location), it properly renames the original file and successfully uploads the file.
I checked with PHPinfo and "safe mode" is turned off. I also played around with the upload folder permissions and even 777 doesn't change the behavior.
I have tested the "Browse Server"/"Upload" functionality from both the "edit link" and "image editor" options and the behavior is the same.
Not sure if this is a server related configuration issue or a FCKeditor issue.
Not sure if this makes any difference, but the PHP version my hosting company is using is 4.3.11 and is running on a SunOS server.
Any help or insight on getting the file uploads working would be appreciated.
