Upload images to new directory

What I've done:
I changed the path where the pictures are uploaded. This works perfectly.
With the filemanager I can also create a new directory but when I upload a picture in the created directory things go wrong.

I also tested it with the orignal path and then it does work... I think it has something to do with the owner of the directory...

I checked the CHMOD for the new directory and it is 777 (so that can't be the problem).

Anyone who has a clue?

i had a similar problem. turned out the uploads failed due to the properties of the 'image' folder that the fckeditor scripts had created in the 'userfiles' dir. try deleting the 'image' folder and creating it manualy in your ftp software, then check the chmod again. i don't pretend to understand it - something to do with the 'user' who created the folder!? worth a try.

It's probably caused by safe_mode which is turned on on your server. Disable it or ask your administrator to do it.
Otherwise if you create directory via browser, there would be no way to upload there files (good news, in PHP6 there is no safe_mode option).
