I am trying to do the simplest thing. I have a php form that a client can create a newsletter in. They can upload an image and it displays in fck editor. However, when the user goes back to Browser Server, the images that are uploaded are not there. I'm sure this is some sort of path issue, but I can't figure it out.
Also, when the user submits the form, a php script uses the $_POST to get the data and send an email using php mail. The mail sends the text, but the image doesn't display because it isn't using the full URL to the image. It uses <img alt="" src="/TEST/PATTY/images/m1.gif" /> instead of www.mydomain.com/TEST/PATTY/images/m1.gif.
Below is a portion of my editor/filemanager/connector/php/edit/config file. I haven't changed any other file, am I suppose to?
Can someone please help me with this?
$Config['Enabled'] = true ;
// Path to user files relative to the document root.
$Config['UserFilesPath'] = '/TEST/PATTY/images' ;
// Fill the following value it you prefer to specify the absolute path for the
// user files directory. Useful if you are using a virtual directory, symbolic
// link or alias. Examples: 'C:\\MySite\\userfiles\\' or '/root/mysite/userfiles/'.
// Attention: The above 'UserFilesPath' must point to the same directory.
$Config['UserFilesAbsolutePath'] = '/home/patty/TEST/PATTY/images' ;
// Due to security issues with Apache modules, it is recommended to leave the
// following setting enabled.
$Config['ForceSingleExtension'] = true ;
// Perform additional checks for image files.
// If set to true, validate image size (using getimagesize).
$Config['SecureImageUploads'] = true;

Re: Upload image so mail will send email with full path to image
if the source code is right and the path to the image is the right one, it should show. Check that you don't get any 404 error due to any "stupid" mistake
Re: Upload image so mail will send email with full path to image
I don't know if this is part of it or not, but also, while I'm still editing the text in the editor, if I click the image icon, and go to browse server, it doesn't display anything at all there as far as files. Is there some setting I need to change for that to work too?
I really appreciate your help on this.
Re: Upload image so mail will send email with full path to image
Still can't get the absolute path to show the image in the editor, even though the path is correct though. I'm so stumped as to why this won't work.
I still appreciate your help.
Re: Upload image so mail will send email with full path to image
If I click the insert image button in fck editor, with the Image Info tab then Browser Server - when I upload here, it places the image in the path /GETITRIGHT/image/image.
If I click the Upload tab in the same screen, then browse server, it uploads to /GETITRIGHT/image/
I would like all uploaded images to be in the same directory and be viewed in the Browser Server area (when the Image Info tab is used).
Where do I set the path for Image Info tab area upload?
