Hi
I am trying to adapt v.2.6 ASP version for my environent by setting the absolutepath variables to a UNC share. e.g.
ConfigUserFilesPath = "/upload/"
ConfigFileTypesPath.Add "File", ConfigUserFilesPath & "file/"
ConfigFileTypesAbsolutePath.Add "File", "\\\\server1\\sharname\\upload\\file\\"
ConfigQuickUploadPath.Add "File", ConfigUserFilesPath & "file/"
ConfigQuickUploadAbsolutePath.Add "File", "\\\\server1\\sharname\\upload\\file\\"
When I set the directories like this any attempt to open the browser from a dialog raises an Out of Memory error from the create filesystemobject call on line 77 in io.asp - there is no way the server is short of memory!
This was easy to do in earlier versions by replacing the mappath calls in conector.asp and upload .asp with a hardcoded UNC path.
If I replace the UNC absolute path above with a normal path e.g "F:\\xyz\\upload\\file\\" it all works sweetly as expected.
Does anyone have any ideas? I really like 2.6 but will have to roll it back to the older version if I can't crack this.

Re: Trying to set ConfigFileTypesAbsolutePath to a UNC share
Mapping to a drive letter is not an option, I need to use UNC shares - its actually only for the upload, browsing can be local - as you may have guessed this is a clustered/loadbalanced environment where all uploads must go to the controller. When I get some time I'll have another shot at making it work and if I succeed I'll post a ticket.
Cheers
