I may be missing the concept here, but I imagined when I installed this editor that my clients could open up an existing file, edit it and then re-save it.
What I am needing to do is simple: Allow a client to upload a press release in the form of a Microsoft Word file ... and edit the press release page so he can add a headline and paragraph... linking to that doc file. What I liked about FCKeditor is it allowed me to easily upload a file, and filled in the URL to point to it. All they need to be able to do is open the existing press release page, add the new headline and save.
But what I can't understand is what file is actually being edited??? Since I can't open a file... all my client can do is create a new file and save it? What good is that?
Surely I am just stupid because this seems like an awesome program. What am I missing?
Or maybe there is a simple program for my needs?
Thanks.

RE: Total noob needs help, how to open a file
It can edit just like in office.
You can save it.
And with an extra plugin you can even upload it to a server. Where of course people can read it.
I think it's called word....
