You probably have noticed how if you overide the editor style sheet from the config.js file, the editor loads the textarea, instantiates the toolbar THEN applies your style sheet.
Depending on how much formatting there is in there, the delay occured by this behaviour can be quite awkward to witness for the user (especially on an old CPU).
A solution for that is to change the fckblank.html file to a server-side file of your choice, say, fckblank.cfm. If using CF, add an application.cfm in the same folder to block any parent application.cfm behaviour, and make the calls to the style sheet from there. (using asp/cf/php to write the link location).
This technique is also useful to bypass the annoying basehref bug issue in Firefox (basehref = "http:#cgi.http_host#" does the trick nicely)
The result? Both basehref and style sheet are applied to the editor window BEFORE the toolbar finishes loading, providing a 'smoother' user experience.
