Table Borders

I have fck editor install and using drupal. The editor is working OK to a small degree. When I add a border to a table either in the editor or directly in the source the borders do not show up. There are some other minor items that are not a fustrating. Any help to solve this would be appreciated

Define 'do not show up'. Do not show up within the editor WYSIWYG window? Do not show up once saved and displayed in Drupal?

The editor overrides a number of style elements when in WYSIWYG mode, including optional display of table borders... See the configuration options documentation for more info if that's your problem.

The borders show up in the editor screen and when I preview. When I publish they are not visible even though the codes shows up when I view source code on the live page.

So yes, they show up in WYSIWYG window but not when published in durpal

Sounds like Drupal is overriding the styles somehow(!). If you have Firebug installed (or, I believe, IE8), you can look at the CSS to see which styles are coming from which style definition. Also, CSS styles may override the use of the border attribute if you're using that...
