Hello,
I'm hoping to configure FCKeditor to insert macronized vowels for New Zealand Maori words using the SpecialChars button. Unfortunately, by default macrons aren't included. Is there a way to specify a character set for special characters insertion, or to add extra characters to the existing set?
Thanks for your help,
Stuart

Re: SpecialChars character sets
\fckeditor\editor\dialog\fck_specialchar.html
Find the line that starts with
var aChars = ["!",""","#"
, and insert/replace any characters you want. This file is supposed to be saved in UTF-8, so make sure to keep it this way.
You will have to do this every time a new version of the editor comes out, obviously.
Re: SpecialChars character sets
I put "≤","≥","∞","∫","∏","∑","√","∩","ƒ","∆","∂"
the characters appear When I open directly the file with firefox,
but they dont in the FCK editor when I press on the SpecialChars buton.
What should I do ?
Re: SpecialChars character sets
I quit the browser and Movamp, and when I opened them again the new specialChars appear.
Is ther any kind of cache ?
Whatever, it works fine.
