Some basic questions from a total beginner

Learing to use this in an asp.net / VWD environment.
I have managed to figure out the base use of FCKeditor in that I can display a page with the editor, update a text box value via the editor etc. All basic stuff.

But I have a few questions :
1. This environment looks like one that requires a high level of skill / knowledge. That is to say that it is not really something that can be used by a beginner to provide an editable web page on a web site.
Agree or disagree?

2. Is there a manual that explains how to achieve certain things. As opposed to documentation that assumes that the reader has a high level of knowledge?

3. Is CKeditor a direct replacement for FCKeditor? Is there an FCKeditor.net equivalent?

4. Assuming the 'web page' that is to be created / edited will contain text and pictures, I guess the content must be stored in a database. Is the whole page therefore stored as a single SQL element/field - if so what? And displayed how?

5. Is there anyone in the Guildford, Surrey area of the UK who is willing to sit down with me and go through some of this stuff ?
