Some basic newbie help please?

My site is on a Linux server running PHP version 5.2.4 and MySQL version 5.0.45. I have just installed FCKeditor 2.5beta.
I want to be able to enter data into the FCKeditor and have the data sent to a database when the submit button is pressed - but can't figure out how to achieve this?
Could someone please point me in the right direction or give me some tips please?

There are hundreds (or even thousands) of tutorials in Google about how to use PHP to save data from a form into a MySQL database.
