Skype phone recognition

Skype phone number recognition is wreaking havoc on our site. If we have Skype running and edit a page (whether we change anything in the FCKeditor window or not), Skype wraps a bunch of superfluous tags around the phone numbers within the FCKeditor window.

Anyone know how to shut this crap off? It's really pissing us off.

how about disabling the feature while your doing an edit.
Or I would go to the folks at Skype and ask them if there is a way to have the action of the skype pluging to be temporally disabled? I would say this is more a skype problem than an FCK problem.

Andyman, agreed that it's definitely a Skype problem; I just thought that the incredibly smart folks here may have run into the problem and found a solution for it. I've posted over at Skype already but haven't heard anything back yet. So far our work-around is to shut Skype down while editing content. It just doesn't seem like a long-term solution to the problem, since we cannot control what clients will have running on THEIR machines.
