Simple, Local, "in browser" HTML Create and Edit

Hi all, I'm looking for a way to create/edit html on my local system from my web browser (usually Firefox). FCKeditor seems a partial fit and I'm not sure if it will work for me. I've got plenty of computing knowledge but not much in the way of Javascript, PHP and linking FCKeditor into my requirements. What I imagine is something like some html/javascript page which allows me to navigate my local file system, select or create a file, edit it using FCKeditor (within browser) and save it. Can this be done? Any hints on how are greatly appreciated. If this is not the right tool do you have any suggestions of something more appropriate?

Wbe browsers don't allow easy access to the file system. For that to work you should get higher priviledges (for example running it as an extension). If you don't have the expertize to do it, then it will be far easier to use something like Kompozer.

Thanks, alfonsoml, I'm taking a look at Kompozer. Setting FCKeditor sounds beyond my current expertise and probably not worth learning it for what I'd get out of it.
