Many people have posted what seems like a similar problem...
We want to use JSP/JSTL to substitute the value='...' parameter in the javascript definition of an FCKeditor with text retrieved from elsewhere (eg - DB). The problem comes with newlines and quotes. We have tried the suggested solution of replacing '\n' with '\\n' as per previous posts... with some success. If we replace '\r\n' with '\\n' then the editor happily displays the correct text. However, those '\n' appear in my final rendered HTML page!
Does anyone have a solution for this? It seems a major problem that will prevent us adopting FCKeditor in place of the expensive and falky eWebEditPro we currently use.
