Restricting Editable regions

Hi guys,

I'm looking at doing something like the following:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=324&start=0

That's the only topic that I've found that actually is what i'm after. That topic was created in 04. Any progress on this front at all?

I'm after the ability to restrict editable areas to certain sections and this can be governed my a special container tag or something along those lines.

CKEditor/FCKEditor either one will be fine.
