Resource browser error

Hi.
I'm having serious problems with the resource browser.
The QuickLoad works fine, but if I know that there already is a file or image on the server I want to use the resource browser.
The resource browser, however, does not show anything and the little drop down menu on the left does only contain "image" (can't select other resource).

What is wrong? I have searched the net but nothing helps.

Please help me!
